Police, FBI seeking Plymouth Meeting bank robbery suspect

The Plymouth Township Police Department and the FBI are looking to identify and locate a suspect involved in a bank robbery early Wednesday morning.

Police say the suspect handed the a bank teller a demand note at the Republic Bank on the 400 block of West Germantown Pike around 9:05 a.m. Wednesday.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, before fleeing on foot. He was last seen heading west toward Irwin lane.

Investigators describe the suspect as a black male in his 40s or 50s, standing about 5'8", with eye glasses.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to contact police (610-279-1901) or the FBI (215-641-8910).

A reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.
