Second suspect sought following January Fairhill double homicide

Philadelphia Police are searching for another suspect in connection with a double homicide that occurred in January in Fairhill. The first suspect, Ativa Jackson, was arrested last Thursday.

Angel Montanez is also wanted for the shooting deaths of Richard DaVilla and Raul Rodriguez.

Ativa Jackson was arrested at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday in the rear driveway of a home on the 5200 block of Howland Street without incident.

He has been charged with 2 counts of murder, criminal conspiracy, possessing an instrument of crime, violation of the uniform firearms act, and related offenses.

Police previously issued a warrant for the arrest of Jackson, 19, who is suspected of shooting three people on the 100 block of West Wishart Street on January 3.

When police arrived, they found three shooting victims.

47-year-old Richard DaVilla was found on the highway, suffering from gunshot wounds to his right thigh and left back area; he was taken to Temple Hospital where he was pronounced at 5:59 p.m.

A 17-year-old male was located inside of the home, suffering from a gunshot wound to his face, he was taken to Temple Hospital and listed in critical condition.

21-year-old Raul Rodriguez was found on the highway suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the head. He was taken to Temple Hospital where he later died on January 6 at 11:30 a.m.
