Sinkhole still causing issues in Strawberry Mansion neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A man fell into a sinkhole in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood about a week and a half ago. Officials have been working on the sinkhole;however, it is still causing issues for some residents.

It's like a recurring nightmare on Norris Street for Eugene Clark. 10 days ago, he fell into the sinkhole.

"I had debris falling on me and water deep. I drank a lot of mud and eat a lot of stuff last night. It was an uncomfortable situation," he said.

Alisha Jordan and her two young children are caught in the middle of the mess as well.

"Our water is still off since the last time the water people were here,"she said.

What they're waiting for now is the new private water supply line to be hooked up to the public water main, then a permanent patching and black topping will be put in place.

FOX 29 is told there will be a crew out here tonight working on fixing the sinkhole.
