Teen girl killed after more than 20 shots fired in North Philly: police
PHILADELPHIA - A teenage girl is dead after a shooting occurred in North Philadelphia Wednesday night.
At around 7:06 p.m., Philadelphia police responded to a shooting on the 2700 block of North Dover Street.
Upon arrival, police originally said a woman in her 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds to her body. They later confirmed the victim was a 15-year-old girl.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital via police where she succumbed to her injuries at 7:27 p.m.
Police sources say more than 20 bullet shell casings were found at the scene.
No arrests have been made. However, a weapon was recovered.
