Two men charged after body found in Pennypack Park

Police say two men have been charged after a decomposed body was found in Pennypack Park last week.

After conducting a search of the area with the assistance of a K9 cadaver dog, a badly decomposed body of an unidentified white male was found inside of the park off of the Welsh Rd. and Roland Ave. entrance, according to police.

Investigators say the body was transported to the Medical Examiners Officer for the cause of death, which was later ruled blunt force trauma to the head and manner death is a homicide.

According to police, Eric Klotz, 38, was arrested and charged with murder, tampering with evidence, abuse of corpse and related offenses. Police say Harley Mason, 24, was also arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, obstructing justice and abuse of corpse for his alleged involvement in the murder.

The victim remains unidentified at this time.
