WATCH: Woman buys brand new coat for man spotted outside in freezing temps

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTXF/STORYFUL) - A Good Samaritan's act of kindness has gone viral on Facebook after she gave a brand new coat to a man she spotted by the side of the road.

Christina Calvo spotted a man with no coat late last week as she drove through Waterbury, Connecticut.

She wrote on Facebook that she quickly realized it was just 18 degrees on that particular day, and she "started to cry" thinking about the man.

So, she took a detour, and drove to a Burlington store and bought the man the warmest coat she could find and headed back to where she last saw the man.

Luckily, the man was still there.

Video posted on her Facebook page shows Christina getting out of her car and approaching the man with the coat, helping him put it on. The two exchange a few words, and then a hug and the man thanks her as she walks back to her car.
