Woman critical after being stabbed, burned in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Police have arrested a man after a woman was stabbed during an apparent domestic dispute in West Philadelphia.

The incident occurred on the 1300 block of North 53rd Street around 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Police say the female victim was stabbed in one time in the stomach and sustained burns to the left side of her lower body. The victim was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by medics and listed in extremely critical condition.

An arrest was made, but no weapon has been recovered.
