Philadelphia Eagles to host Green Bay Packers in wild card round
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers opened the season in Brazil. Now, they will open the postseason against each other.
The NFC East champion Eagles (14-3) are the no. 2 seed in the conference and will host the Packers Sunday, January 12 at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX in a wild-card game.
The NFL released the wild-card game schedule Sunday night.
Tanner McKee threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns in a game full of backups to help the Philadelphia Eagles tune up for the postseason with a 20-13 victory over the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, the Packers will enter the playoffs coming off of a 24-22 loss against the Chicago Bears.
The winner of the Vikings-Lions game in Week 18 will be the NFC North Champions. That team will then take on the lowest-seeded remaining team in the divisional round.
The winner of the Eagles-Packers game will move on to the NFC divisional round.
