Magnitude 6.5 earthquake strikes off the coast of Northern California

FERNDALE, California (FOX 11 / USGS) - At approximately 6:50am Pacific Time on Thursday, December 8th, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake shook the Northern California area - centered 104 miles off the coast of Ferndale, California, according to the USGS. No reports of damage have been initially reported.
