'50 Shades of Maple Glen': Home on sale for $750K includes adult sexual oasis

A listing for a home in Maple Glen is getting a lot of attention, and it's not for the open floor plan.

The since-altered listing had pictures that show a beautifully renovated kitchen, hardwood floors, as well as pictures of the basement, describing it as an "adult sexual oasis." The top of the posting originally referred to it as "50 Shades of Maple Glen."

"I was like, OK, he's got this little pleasure garden going on down here," says Melissa Leonard, a realtor with Coldwell Banker Preferred.

Leonard says the owner of the home has rented the home through Airbnb, charging $500 a night for the house without the "oasis," $700 a night on weekdays with the "oasis" included and $2,000 a night on the weekends.

She says buyers will have the option to continue the basement business or can decide to remove the equipment.

"It can be converted back to a typical basement for families, playrooms, whatever they want," Leonard says.

While the home generated a lot of interest, some neighbors were fired up.

Next door neighbor Barry Katz says an Airbnb rental on New Year's Eve had a massive party, and cars drove on their lawns to leave.

Now, he has concerns about what kind of crowd the basement will attract.

"I walked out the door and I looked and I said, I'm not happy about this," Katz says. "You don't know what kind of people enjoy that thing."

While the house generated mixed reactions, it's safe to say people now know about it.

"Again, this house is not for everybody," she says. "It does have beautiful features, it is a beautiful home."

The home is on sale for $750,000.
