Fire damages business in Southwest Center City

The incident happened on the 1900 block of Washington Avenue.

PHILADELPHIA - A fire damaged a building in Southwest Center City overnight.

Firefighters rushed to the scene on the 1900 of Washington Avenue right around midnight.

They battled the flames on the roof of Open Box Athletics which is connected to the Ballet X Dance Center as well.

Firefighters had the fire under control in less than 30 minutes.

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
