Newark Police Seek Man Accused of Groping Woman

NEWARK- WTXF A woman in Delaware says she was groped by a man while securing her infant in a car seat- and police are investigating the matter as an unlawful sexual contact incident.

The alleged incident took place November 13 in broad daylight, as a 28-year-old woman was putting her two children in her car at the College Square parking lot in Newark. Police say a mother of 2 just left the Kmart store was at her car bent over buckling in her kids when a man in a car next to her allegedly grabbed her from behind.

"A suspect was sitting in the driver seat of the car parked next to hers and leaned over and grabbed her inappropriately," said Newark Police Corporal James Spadola.

The suspect, described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 18-25 years of age, fled in a grey Ford Focus. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and a black hat with distinct writing on the top.
