Police ID man found in car, shot several times

GRAYS FERRY (WTXF) - The man found in a car after being shot several times has been identified as Lamar Henderson. The 30-year-old later died from his wounds.

Philadelphia police say they discovered Henderson, from the 1900 block of Sigel Street, inside a 2016 Toyota Corolla in Grays Ferry. He'd been shot several times in his right eye, chest, arm and the left side of the chest.

Police got the report of a shooting in the 2600 block of Dickinson Street on Thursday at about 3:20pm.

Medics took Henderson to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say nobody has been arrested and the motive is unknown.

Anyone with information is asked to call 215-686-3334 or 911. There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
